7 Things I Regret Not Doing in College
Although yes, I could have been more social, this article is not about that.
It’s about all the things that I could have, and should have, done in college to make my professional life easier and simply give me a jump start in my career.
I say this but maybe someone, somewhere, did these things and ended up just as lost as me. But nevertheless, these are some things I regret not doing during my college years.
1. Not Doing Enough Research
I mean proper research. Not just looking at what types of careers I can have with the degree that I am studying — I did that. I mean a deep dive into what do I need to get those jobs. Do I have what it takes or do I need to work on it? Where are those jobs? Does the city I’m living in have opportunities for me or will I have to move? Or maybe there are opportunities close to me but the commute is really expensive. That’s something I need to take into account when applying for jobs where the salary is not enough to cover all my bills and transportation.
All those are just some of the things that I found myself questioning and thinking about as soon as I was out of college and figuring out what to do with my life.
These are real-life stuff that didn’t cross my mind while I was spending my days focused…
