What makes someone your “type”? Is it their appearance or their personality?

We all hear “looks don’t matter” and “personality is what matters”, but how many of us truly feel that in our hearts?

In 2019, in a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Stanford sociologist Michael Rosenfeld found that heterosexual couples are more likely to meet a romantic partner online than through personal contacts and connections.

We all know how popular online dating and dating apps are nowadays. Especially now with COVID 19 that brought us quarantine, lockdown, and social distancing, online dating is the best way to go..

People say that personality is what matters but when a person is reduced to a profile on a dating app, how much does someone’s appearance affect your judgment of who to swipe right to?

How can some pictures and a short bio tell you enough about a person for you to reject or accept them as a possible partner?
