My Top 10 Favourite Books 2023
I read 35 books in 2023. These are my favourites.
What does a book need to have to make it into a top 10 list of favourites?
For me, it’s a matter of feeling.
That feeling you get when you can’t put the book down.
The urge you get to read “just one more chapter” when it’s already way past your bedtime.
When months go by and you still catch yourself thinking about those characters and that world.
When you see that book in a bookstore and smile as if you just passed by an old friend.
That, to me, it’s what makes a book a 5-star book.
In 2023 I read 35 books. I only gave 5 stars to 13 of them.
But top 10 sounds better so I kicked 3 out of this list.
So here it is in no particular order because that would be too hard:
If I Had Your Face by Frances Cha
I loved this book so much that I was sad when it ended.
The characters are all so different, each with their own life stories and struggles. But they all come together and support each other through life.
The multiple points of view give us an insight into each of the girl’s back stories…
