In 2019, I got my first job. Since then, I started focusing on my financial goals.
Because of the pandemic, I am not where I thought I would be, financially. Like most people around the world, 2020 was not the best year financially for me.
One thing that this year brought me was free time. Stuck at home with nothing to do and nowhere to go, I, like many people, spent more time online.
Looking for ways to entertain myself out of boredom, I started spending crazy amounts of time on YouTube. I would go there to check if any of my favorites posted anything new and find myself 3 hours later watching TikTok compilations.
It’s a problem. I know. I’m working on it.
But it was during one of those moments of mindlessly watching YouTube, that I came across one video that awakened my interest in finance.
It started my journey. Until then, I didn’t really think about my personal finance. I thought: I have a job, I’ll save money by opting for the cheaper option and not buying unnecessary things.
